Lakeside Wedding//Kristen and Jon//Port Severn Wedding Photographer

A beautiful lakeside wedding in Port Severn! We couldn’t have asked for a better day. I’m so lucky to shoot weddings like this every weekend. Outdoors, at the cottage, under blue skies (usually), at the lake, with happy beautiful people…so lucky!

Kristen and Jon contacted me all the way from bustling Dubai…a few emails, some Skype calls and finally a wedding day. Over the past years they’ve been teaching overseas and loving every second. From Barrie to Port Severn to Dubai! So crazy. This wedding was a big fat day of love and sunshine! The kindness, support, and generosity shared this day was overwhelming. K & J are truly and deeply loved. It was of course a bitter-sweet day, they were celebrated, we all laughed and cried, and there was plenty of chatter about their trip back home to Dubai.

So Sweet in Port Carling//Muskoka Wedding Photographer

I cannot believe I have not yet blogged about Charlotte and Jon’s Port Carling wedding! We shot their wedding back in September (so much back posting still to do). We loved this wedding so much. Sooooo much. Truly, these two young lovers were two of my favourite people to see wed. We witnessed so much love and support between them and their families, it was moving. The kind of love these two must have felt on their wedding day is the kind every young couple should be held by.

We were lucky to have been chosen by them to shoot this weeding. Thank you, Jon and Char.

And P.P.S. Some of these photos require a little explanation…rockin’ out in church to M.J., Riding your bike in a suit with a broken foot, Munching on snacks, in the car, because you’re starving after getting married, Leading an ’80’s workout video with the rest of your table ’cause Jon and Char asked you too, and finally Being utterly embarassed by your big sister’s stories of your love for large soulful women!

Lindsey and Jamie//Muskoka Wedding Photographer

The end of August was AWESOME. We shot two beautiful Muskoka area weddings and this was the first. Lindsay and Jamie take beautiful pictures, remember their engagement session? I’ve said it before and here I go again, I LOVE shooting locally. It’s great to live with and work for my community. Cheers to my dears, Lindsey and Jamie. Love them.
