Second shooting brings together all the best parts of a wedding day with none of the actual stress. I don’t think that’s a secret but it sure does feel like it sometimes! A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding along side Scott Turnbull at Port Cunnington Lodge, just outside of Huntsville (Muskoka). Oh! And nothing beats a Port Cunnington Wedding day in June – blue skies and Muskoka Chairs. Thanks Scott and the whole incredible team – check out the list at the end of this post.

I love second shooting. It’s glorious! Working with Katie Langmuir is my dream – on both sides. She’s one of the best photographers I know! I love second shooting for her and I love when she shoots for me. I cried all over this day out of pure happiness and joy. The bride and groom, Laura and Scott are kind and above all genuine. Here are just a few of my highlights from their June wedding downtown Kitchener.

This was our first wedding of the season. A big start with great people. This is a GOOD crowd, every. single. last. one. of. them! I’ve been shooting in Muskoka for close to a decade and the Sherwood Inn kids never fail to disappoint. Sarah and Josh make me really happy about being a wedding photographer.

Muskoka, Ontario has become quite a place for the local-destination-wedding. And Brooklands Farm, the place to celebrate! On this particular day the West descended on the East. From the lakeside cottage to small scale organic farm – I’m not sure this wedding could have been anymore ‘Ontario’.

One giant, beautiful, happy family day of love – celebrating a union. Their wedding day could not have been any better. I love them all dearly, as I’ve mentioned before (once or twice) and I feel so lucky to know each of them. These two have surrounded themselves with incredibly talented, musical, dedicated, loving, honest, cheerful, helpful friends and family. Happy wedding day, Julie and Paul.
