I’ve photographed this family more times than I can count. It’s a show every single time. And they’re having their fourth little one. What a team they’re raising. So proud to call them my friends.Muskoka Beach Photographer

I love the Penny family! These kiddies are hilarious…one-more than happy to jump in Lake Bernard fully clothed, the other a bit more apprehensive. In the end we had a great time and all of us ended up soaked. Cottage family portraits are the very best, especially when you get to hang out with crazy little munchkins like this.

I first met Megan a year ago when both of us attended a workshop in Sudbury. At the time I was working for a little Eco-Retreat centre on the edge of Algonquin Park and she was working for a similar company on Lake Superior. It was just a few month later she told us she was getting married and looking all over the place for the most fantastic place to be married. Megan and Paul knew they were looking for something small, northern, and lakeside for their wedding. I knew immediately the Northridge Inn in Sundridge was the perfect place (one of our favourite locations for weddings, great meals, and a little overnight stay).

This wedding was a gathering from all over the map…Paul, Megan and friends coming south from Wawa and great family and friends from down-under. It was clear to Jay and I from the moment we met Megan and Paul they were a different kind of couple. Both of them so modest and full of excitement about the day…and a great sense of how to make a northern fall wedding day all their own. From the moments Megan practiced her first dance early in the day, to the handmade Thank You gifts, to the felted hiking mice atop their wedding cheese cake (an actual cheese cake). This day was all their own. We loved shooting this wedding and just wish we had a little more time to spend getting to know Megan, Paul, and their families.

We wish you both love and joy for years to come.

The end of August was AWESOME. We shot two beautiful Muskoka area weddings and this was the first. Lindsay and Jamie take beautiful pictures, remember their engagement session? Here it is, https://khiphotography.wordpress.com/2009/07/31/horses-heavy-equipment-and-hot-love-almost-married/. If possible their wedding was even more beautiful. I’ve said it before and here I go again, I LOVE shooting locally. It’s great to live with and work for my community. Cheers to my dears, Lindsey and Jamie. Love them.

Here is the just beginning. These are my faves of almost 1000 edits! It was a great day!
