A Canadian Photographer

I am thrilled to be sharing this! The entire boudoir weekend at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto was awesome…but this session was particularly special. JH is also a photographer. In fact she is one the first photographers who introduced me to possibility of photography. That it could be something more, more wild than a snap shot, more interesting. It was through her support of many photographers, their expression, and all of our love for simply “taking pictures” that I began to see “interesting photographs” as something more than just a picture taken.

And, here she is. Way more than just a snap shot. totally sweet and wild! We shot for a long time. From just before sunset to long after the light was gone.

Thank you JH for allowing me to share some of your images. I’m thrilled with the entire collection. See you very soon!

Once again I teamed up with my favourite lingerie store owner, Lindsay from Little Black Bow in Bracebridge. She brought an awesome selection of her most beautiful pieces, into Toronto. Here is just a peek…

And, if you’re a Northern girl, you’ve got some guts, and think you can rock a beautiful set of undies stay tuned. We’ve got something pretty spectacular coming up early this summer.

Thanks Lindsay! Check out Little Black Bow.

And it’s always a pleasure to work with hair and mu artist, Heather Snowie

What: Boudoir Marathon

  • each PRIVATE booking is 2-2.5 hours, professional hair & make up, yummy-healthy snacks, champagne
  • customized experience tailored to your tastes & your body

Although I’m calling this a boudoir marathon weekend it’s absolutely unlike other “marathon” experiences. Each session is private, in a two storey suite (we’ve booked the Tower Suite at the Gladstone). Each boudoir session is fully customized to you! You’ll have lots of opportunity to plan with us how you’d like to look and feel, tell us your story and why you’re (FINALLY) doing this? You’ll have at least an hour of hair & make-up before your session and each shoot is at least 1 hour in length. As each client is given the luxury experience there are only 8-9 sessions open over the 3 days. We won’t be shooting more than 3 sessions each day. This means you get our full attention, service and creative…genius! No skimping here.

Are you convinced? Still feeling a little shy?

Head over the contact page and send me note. I’d love to hear from you… INQUIRE ABOUT BOUDOIR

Ms. B walked in looking like a Victoria Secret model. Then we did make-up…
She was unreal.

B and I didn’t know each other previous to this, which was surprising since we’re almost pretty much from the same town. I’ve known her gorgeous little sisters for years… Such a long time in fact I would have said “since they were kids”. So when Brittney called, and asked approximately one million questions about her session I was really happy to hear from her. What I learned about B when she arrived was that her heart is as big and bright as her smile. She holds a lot of love in there. But what impressed me most about her was her modesty, her absolute comfort in front of my camera, and most of all her brilliance. The girl is SMART! She absolutely excelled in all the subjects I (almost) failed (twice). I was pleased to no end.

So here it is, cheers to you, dear B.

I shot an incredible weekend of boudoir at The Gladstone Hotel on Queen West in Toronto, this weekend. Saturday through Sunday I had the opportunity to photograph some of the most creatively and emotionally challenging sessions for women I’d never met. It was exhilarating, exhausting, entertaining, moving, and delightful. It really is fascinating – getting to know each body’s story. This weekend I learned a few things; from the secret sex lives of beautiful married women to the adventurous details of the unmarried and untamed. Most exciting perhaps was my introduction to sticky red bondage tape. Like wrapping a wild christmas gift – that’s how I felt tying my sweet client to the banister. All those details aside I can’t actually share any of it with you. Every woman I shot was shooting for their lover, as a surprise. So I leave you with this gorgeous woman, Danielle. She joined us at The Gladstone for a Monday full of Little Black Bow lingerie. I love shooting for Lindsay, the owner of LBB. And I love shopping with Lindsay at LBB. Enjoy this little preview.

Thanks to Danielle for coming all we way to the big city to pose for us, to Lindsay the best damn lingerie store owner I could ever want to know, and to Heather Snowie – a spectacular Toronto based hair and makeup artist. She was a huge hit. It’s always a good time with Heather a the helm, a client in her chair and class of wine in my hand! Cheers to a wicked weekend team.
