Midland-Georgian Bay Beach Wedding//Midland Photographers
I have waited WAY too long to blog this awesome beach wedding party!
Meet the sweet and soulful couple, Kristin and Jon. They found me by accident, we met when they were oh-so-sick, and it was love at second sight (I think because they may not have remembered our first sicky meeting?). As it turned out we knew a number of mutual Midland peeps and once they found out I was shooting for Jon…”Jonny Main”, they were thrilled. Everyone loves Jon. Not only do Jon and I have a collection of Midland friends in common but his Gram is from Sunny Sundridge, where I live. Finding K and J was meant to be. I just knew it!
This wedding day was nuts, amazing nuts.
Kristin was the most smiley-smiling bride I had ever seen. Ever. And brides are happy people as a rule. No one, however, has been more obviously-expressively-deliriously happy than Ms. Kristin. It was a perfect start (at the Charters Inn) to a Georgian Bay Wedding day.
It was a wedding at the beach, the family cottage in fact, overlooking the bay with a collection of curious kayaking onlookers. Jon’s dad married them, Jon’s mom toasted them and we all celebrated their union. From the beach, to the bridge, onto the tandem bike and a swinging rope, then deep into the sparking forest we ventured. It was my dream wedding afternoon, not gonna lie. I poked around in bare feet all day. MY DREAM WEDDING!
And then we danced. We danced all night at the brand new Midland Cultural Centre. Everyone danced. Jon and Kristin lead the pack through song after song. I couldn’t believe it, no breaks. Then Kristin drank tequila, her friends drank tequila, and then they all danced some more.
Big fat cheers to Kristin, Jon and their delightful families for celebrating love in the most memorable way I can think of.
Thanks to my invaluable and talented second shooter, Mr. Dave Sloan. Last year, 2012 would not have been the same without you.
