I have waited WAY too long to blog this awesome beach wedding party!

Meet the sweet and soulful couple, Kristin and Jon. They found me by accident, we met when they were oh-so-sick, and it was love at second sight (I think because they may not have remembered our first sicky meeting?). As it turned out we knew a number of mutual Midland peeps and once they found out I was shooting for Jon…”Jonny Main”, they were thrilled. Everyone loves Jon. Not only do Jon and I have a collection of Midland friends in common but his Gram is from Sunny Sundridge, where I live. Finding K and J was meant to be. I just knew it!

This wedding day was nuts, amazing nuts.

Kristin was the most smiley-smiling bride I had ever seen. Ever. And brides are happy people as a rule. No one, however, has been more obviously-expressively-deliriously happy than Ms. Kristin. It was a perfect start (at the Charters Inn) to a Georgian Bay Wedding day.

It was a wedding at the beach, the family cottage in fact, overlooking the bay with a collection of curious kayaking onlookers. Jon’s dad married them, Jon’s mom toasted them and we all celebrated their union. From the beach, to the bridge, onto the tandem bike and a swinging rope, then deep into the sparking forest we ventured. It was my dream wedding afternoon, not gonna lie. I poked around in bare feet all day. MY DREAM WEDDING!

And then we danced. We danced all night at the brand new Midland Cultural Centre. Everyone danced. Jon and Kristin lead the pack through song after song. I couldn’t believe it, no breaks. Then Kristin drank tequila, her friends drank tequila, and then they all danced some more.

Big fat cheers to Kristin, Jon and their delightful families for celebrating love in the most memorable way I can think of.

Thanks to my invaluable and talented second shooter, Mr. Dave Sloan. Last year, 2012 would not have been the same without you.

I was so happy to shoot for Lindsey and Jamie again. Three years later, after a few hiccups, we planned these Bridal Portraits in their own backyard. Sunny Sundridge has some beautiful locations for Bridal Portraits. Thanks L & J for a fabulous evening.

You can’t possibly meet these two and not fall in love with them. Such honesty and acceptance between Tara and Jordan. They truly do set a beautiful example of young love. I was honoured to be asked to photograph their wedding day at Tralee in Orangeville. Cheers to you, sweet Tara and Jordan-to a perfectly romantic day, full of joy, something borrowed, blue skies, an (Alita Graham) Kleinfeld’s princess wedding dress, and pink Manolo Blahniksclick on the images to enlarge…

Big thank you to my second shooter Dave Sloan. He’s been incredible this summer. THANK YOU! Dave is this…magic, light-knowing, technical, off camera flash, studio light kinda guy. It’s really awesome!

It’s a good wedding day when you get to shoot bridal portraits at Port Cunnington Lodge, in this weather, with these two. Leah and Keegan wanted to do a “first look” before the ceremony, as well as their portraits. It was perfect. A first look is always a great opportunity to shoot. Both Leah and Keegan were so excited to see each other and their reactions are priceless.

We loved shooting this wedding! So much. I know, I say that a lot…and I say that a lot too. Denice and Shane are amazing to work with! I loved every second.

You just never know how the wedding day will go when there are just brief snippets of conversation, emails, and meetings with a bride and groom before a wedding day. With Denice and Shane this was no issue. Although Shane is originally from the Muskoka area these two have been travelling around the globe for work, play, and education. After eloping in the States, moving to Amsterdam, then home from Amsterdam they’ve now settled in Chicago. We were pressed for time, all arrangements were made via Skype the year before!

More fabulousness re Denice and Shane and their awesome Parry Sound Wedding…perhaps it was that these two were already married, perhaps it was their silly, playful romantic love, perhaps it was the endless support these two have from each and every one of their friends and family…likely a combination of all three, whatever it was this day was perfect. No stress, no worries, all fun!

Let’s get to the goods already. Cheers to Denice and Shane for hosting one of the very best, most heart-felt, full of love kind of Muskoka Wedding days we’ve had the pleasure of photographing!

P.S. After seeing this location I’m pretty sure you’ll want to be married there! I want to shoot EVERY wedding here…The Ridge at Manitou that is. My understanding is, unfortunately (or fortunately) they’re kind of exclusive…as in only three weddings a year. You better know someone who knows someone, who is married to someone who knows a member…if you do CALL ME!

You may also want to hook yourselves up with Mr. Albert Graves of “Bloemen Decor” in Toronto. He did a stellar job, we were blown away!
