A Canadian Photographer

My husband and I went to Toronto last weekend with some beautiful friends of ours, Wendy and Jay and cousins Liz and Cheryl, and enjoyed a weekend full of yoga, the yoga show, yoga photography, Yoga Thai Massage (a little obsessed, can’t wait for my turn). I’ll post all about yoga later! For now I wanted to share with you how great I think Toronto is. I love it there and dream of a little photography studio in the East end, a little apartment….blah blah, one day. Here are a few shots from the weekend. We had a blast. From Korean on Bloor and Clinton, to Roti in Parkdale, and Italian at Queen and Coxwell. Oh and how can I forget Jay’s fave, T&T Supermarket! I wanted to share some photos of my weekend in the city. So much of my KHI Photography work is done North of Hwy 400, in the bush, in a field, on a beach (which by the way are all great settings), but once its been done a few times I am easily inspired by new landscapes (in this case a little graffiti and some super-love). My husband and I drove South in a mad dash for Toronto. Dinner with friends and family every night, visiting nieces and nephews, and luckily were able to squeeze in some work time too. The rain held out for 2 out of 3 shoots. First a wonderful mom and baby (well a 3 year old who called me Cake) and a shoot with cousins (Liz and Cheryl, the super lovers). Here are a few of the best shots…

Liz and Cheryl in Kensington…apparently a few curious voyeurs

Another Kiss in Kensington…this time a little more private…

The poster behind them is an advert for a dating service, “Entre-Nous”…it was our last shot of the day

Here is one of the graffiti shots, these made incredible images…I hardly had to do a thing.
