Janette and Brennan were married at Archeo, in the historic Distillery District. It was quite a day and my absolute honour to photograph it. From their first look, to all of Janette’s unique library themed wedding details it was a spectacular afternoon. If you follow this blog you’ll recognize these two and be familiar with our story. So this is not normally the way I post a wedding sneak peek, but I loved this Lumina Resort wedding so much because it was such a fulfilling project. We’ll call such willy nilly posts the “pre-sneak-peek”. I am overjoyed with the work the we produced on this day. These few images are some that stood out immediately. Ones that I was personally very attracted to. When I chose these photographs I hadn’t finished editing their collection, but knew there was something a little different these shots. I think Michael will appreciate this little story of wedding photographs.
In the next week or so I’ll post a real sneak peek for you, M and J. Complete with all the bells and whistles; getting ready, ceremony, more formals, all the incredible details, and of course your party. THIS DANCE PARTY WAS EPIC! I have seen NOTHING like it before. This alone will be worth the wait, I promise. And after that I will come and deliver everything to you in person, wrapped in burlap, flowers and beautiful ribbon. xoxo.

And then, after all of that they were married. “A Port Cunnington Lodge Wedding” with all the people they loved most, all of their best friends. Their emotional waterfront ceremony was followed by dinner in the lodge, a dramatic chinese lantern display, and a first dance.

It’s a good wedding day when you get to shoot bridal portraits at Port Cunnington Lodge, in this weather, with these two. Leah and Keegan wanted to do a “first look” before the ceremony, as well as their portraits. It was perfect. A first look is always a great opportunity to shoot. Both Leah and Keegan were so excited to see each other and their reactions are priceless.
