My Yoga-Filled Trip to Cuba//Part 1//Personal 2011
Marea del Portillo, Cuba
Early morning Yoga Session w/ Wendy Martin of Sacred Breath Yoga
Cabo Cruz, Cuba
A day trip to Cabo Cruz. We founds kids. So, we did yoga.
Pilon, Cuba
This time we went in search of children. It ended up being a barnyard yoga party. Complete with headstands, assists, broken english, hilarious attempts at spanish, coconut drinks, and a lunchtime feast. I will never forget the conversation I had three young boys. They didn’t know english. I didn’t know spanish. In those moments I learned more spanish and laughed harder than I did the entire week. I hope to return one day with more time to play and a collection of prints to share with them. It was a pure delight.

One last morning at the beach.
Thank you so much for this experience.
Want to go? Do yoga? Visit villages? You can!
Jenny Cressman, of Huntsville organizes two trips a year. A spring session, open to men and women and fall session open to just women. It’s an amazing expeience. I want to do it every year. Next women’s yoga retreat will be early November 2012.
Email Jenny with inquiries, cubanacorazon@gmail.com.Jenny also owns reVibe! downtown Huntsville, Ontario. It’s a funky little consignment store with a conscience. You’re bound to find a few treasures. Last trip I bought a sexy little vintage fur jacket and a gorgeous pair of dove earrings made of a melted brass, old land mines in fact. Go, you’ll love it.
