What great day with the Pratts! We’ve been trying to get this photo shoot done for ages. With a such rainy summer it’s no wonder we had to postpone. But in the end it was well worth the wait. The weather was incredible, the kids we awesome…we walked and walked, chatted along the way and then finally ventured to Ragged Falls on the Edge of Algonquin Park. It was an afternoon well spent. Thanks Pratts! FYI, You may recognize the Pratts from the Huntsville area, Daddio Pratt also known as Mr. Pratt is THE electrician, http://www.ronprattelectric.com/. Serving Muskoka, Parry Sound, and Haliburton for over 12 years. Call him.

Enjoy the picts!

P.S. If you haven’t yet been to ragged falls…GO. It’s a little bit magical. Take lunch, a bathing suit, and some great company…oh and don’t forget your camera.

I had the opportunity to shoot the lovely Lucier Family over Easter weekend, then enjoyed a wonderful pot luck, and a Sauna later that evening. I work for this family a couple of days a week helping run their EcoLodge (Northern Edge Algonquin) on the edge Algonquin Park, Ontario. Friday Martha, one of the co-founders asked if I would do a little Family Photo Shoot while the whole clan was home for Easter. “Of course I would” I said. I solicited a little help from Aiden, who is 4. I gave him my P&S, a quick lesson, and he was off (Aiden’s full Facebook album). His photography is much more interesting than mine. Like some of the most famous photographers in the world, without thinking he just took the picture.

Ottawa Family Photos

A couple of weekends ago I spent a morning with Kierra and her Luke. I think I met Kiearra back in grade school. My younger sister became good friends with her in middle school. It is so neat to see where all of our friends end up. We’ve all changed so much, jobs, babies, school, I guess this makes us grown ups.

Kiearra found me on facebook, like so many of my clients (I love facebook). I was honoured to capture some formal shots of her and her son Luke, who is now 4 (ish). It took him a few minutes to warm up to me, we coloured, talked about blue, and played with the little point and shoot. It all paid off in the end. Here are some of the images…

Luke, at the park…in the rain. What a face!

Again, what a face.

This is calm Luke, trying to find Canada…
