A Canadian Photographer

My sweet and talented sissy along with our dear cousin, Angie completed their first Try-a-Tri (http://www.sundridge-triathlon.com), here in Sundridge. They decided on Wednesday that on Sunday they would do it! I really had no idea how emotional it would be for all of us (3 ninis, 1 dad, 1 uncle bill, 5 kids, and moi), especially Em and Ange. Congratulations! I’m so proud of you both. Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013

This is a huge and very personal post dedicated to Julie, Paul, Anna and Chris. I love you sweet and funny Beatty/Hartman family. If you follow the blog you know I love Ontario’s cottage country. Well, this cottage is a significant part of that. Aside from my family’s cottage – next door, this is the place where my dreams are made of. It’s where part of my childhood lives. It’s where my oldest friends grew up and now where they’re raising their families. So romantic, I can hardly stand it. (P.S. big brother ‘L’ was not as thrilled with my camera work as his little sister. I kept my distance but do love him equally. He’s a tough little nut to crack…even after four years…)Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013 Muskoka Family Photographers, 2013

This family is on my blog often, their lives have been well documented. I cherish our relationship very much and am really looking forward to learning all about baby Arlo. Living in Toronto it was likely I’d have to miss his birth, although we did some planning for birth photography. The irony is on the Sunday night that I left the city, passing through their neighbourhood, I messaged momma to say ‘any baby, I can come right now?’ There was no babe yet. And what do you know – less than 24 hours later she was in labour, surrounded by her all people. I missed it. I missed by only hours! Instead we gathered at the cottage near Huntsville yesterday. They cuddled in bed. Changed bums. Fed babies. You know the drill. It was lovely.Huntsville Family Portraits Huntsville Family Portraits Huntsville Ontario Family Portraits Huntsville Ontario Baby Photographers Huntsville Ontario Baby Photographers

Meet Sue and Sean. Maybe you’ve already met them. In which case you already know them! There aren’t very many couples whose interests, motivations, and tastes are this deeply intertwined. Meeting them once, having a full day with just them meant that I was privy to something very special. They are sweet, unique, and very matter of fact about their…awesomeness. Not only was their engagement a reflection of who they are as a couple but, in as a less obvious statement so was their Toronto wedding day. They were married at ‘School’, in Liberty Village. And like them, School has a unique personality all its own.

Cheers to you both. I feel privileged to have met you. Enjoy Cambodia (yes! their preferred honeymoon destination). Be safe and take a lots of pictures. I can’t wait to hear all about it. Here is your pre honeymoon sneak peek!

And a great big, gratitude filled ‘Thank You’ to my talented, driven and on-top-of-her-game second shooter, Janette. I love working with you and love looking at your pictures. I’m very happy to finally be blogging this beautiful forest wedding! I was pretty happy to shoot it too! What a day it was. I met Toni for the first time almost 10 years ago…more! Her and I went to college together, in Ontario. When she contacted me to photograph her wedding (which was this past September 2012) I was thrilled. We met in Ottawa one (maybe two) weekend and talked about all things wedding. The property was beautiful and her vision seemed simply dreamy. You can tell she’s an inspired woman with a lot of love in her heart.

I hope you enjoy this sweet little Sugar Shack – Ottawa Valley Wedding as much as I did. These two were fabulous!

Huge thank you to my friend and colleague Alanna Govenlock of Stollen Still Photography. It was such a great time shooting with her. She’s quite a talent! And of course – Christina O. from The Flower Factory, who did amazing job with the planning and design. Beautiful work, gorgeous team!
