Spring has sprung! The KHI phone/email has been ringing like crazy…now that the sun is out people are ready to pose! Right after the Family Photography shoot in North Bay, Ontario I had a great session with a Children’s Musician, Crissy Brooks. Leading up to our time together we planned and planned and met over coffee, one evening we spent 3 hours talking shop. Her and I are both relatively recent and enthusiastic dreamers. There was so much for us to chat about…both moving to small communities, starting businesses, and getting motivated to really make it work. To really capture the essence of anyone at a photo shoot I work with I find it so important to know, and hear, and learn as much about their vision as possible. So we decided it would be great for me to come listen to her play at the Early Years Centre. It was great…everyone told me the kids just love when she’s there! “Circle time is great when Crissy is playing!”

We planned a great beach day, the sun, the sand, the glassy water…I had a serious vision for her head shots. One Wednesday afternoon I had her and her family at our cottage, which has an incredible beach front. We got lucky with the weather, it was warm with just a small breeze, and the sky was a beautiful blue.

Here are a few of my faves from the day, tucked in here are a few of her kids as well. They had a great time in the water, building motes, splashing, and even a little posing.
