A few weeks ago Megan contacted me all the way from BC. Originally from North Bay her and her husband now live in Fort St James, BC. As a “Welcome to the World” (her daughter is 8 months) and “Happy Birthday” (her mother’s Birthday) gift she asked me to spend an afternoon shooting with her, 2 sisters, 2 husbands, an 8th months old, and a Grandma and Grandpa.

We had never met before, just spent a week or so emailing details back and forth. The Woods welcomed me into their home with open arms, they were very sweet. This shoot was a little different than the others I’ve done. The Woods were a formal group very much connected to their history. Walking into their 100 year old home was like visiting a museum. We spent about an hour shooting some very traditional posses and chatting about their families history in North Bay. Over a 3.5 hour period we shot a few hundred images. It was lots of fun and a bit of an eye opening experience! Truth is so much excited energy was centred around Isabelle, who is 8 months old and the first Grandchild.
