Michael and Joel//North Bay eSession

I can’t even begin to express how much shooting Michael’s engagement session and wedding day (at Lumina Resort on Lake of Bays) means to me. I’ve know her for a few years now and her sister’s wedding (my first of many at … Continue reading

Of Leah and Keegan: Part 1//Married at Port Cunnington Lodge

From the moment I began discussing wedding details with Leah and Keegan it was clear she was a details girl. And that may be putting it lightly. I loved every minute of planing with these two and we were never at a loss for inspiration. You might remember their July 2011 engagement session in Muskoka? Find the sweet, vintage, gauzey post on my Fan Page. Thinking about a wedding at Port Cunnington Lodge in Dwight, Ontario on Lake of Bays? It’s one of our favourites and you can see why. We started shooting at Port Cunnington 3 years ago and have never been disappointed. I have to thank Bry Morrow, a great photographer, for working with Jay and I on this wedding. Bry spent the afternoon with us shooting primarily details and did such a beautiful job shooting the ceremony. Thanks Bry!

Puppy Love? I’d Say So…//Toronto Wedding Photographer

After our session, in the restaurant, I asked Jordan, “So you two have been together since you were 16. When did you KNOW you wanted to marry her?”

With a little smirk, Jordan replies, looking at Tara, “It was the hives.”

THE HIVES? It was truly  a great moment during our afternoon together. I got the whole story. “I LOVE this woman…” Jordan continues to describe his interaction with the hospital staff. At that moment, in that hospital, Jordan repeated that sentence, “I DO love this woman”. That is when Jordan knew that Tara was it for him.

I loved it. We laughed over lunch, chatted about family, and all of the fantastic wedding details Tara is planning (shout out to our common addiction, Etsy.com). No doubt this will be an epic day of love and detail.

Thanks Tara and Jordan (and their chocolate lab Hudson) for a great afternoon. Another wee shout out to Mother Nature, she dusted the GTA with a skiff of snow and a few wisps of cloud in an otherwise blue sky. We actually cancelled our first shoot date because the weather was “too nice”. Ta Da! Some city snow.
